Já são conhecidos os vencedores da Final Mundial da Imagine Cup, a maior competição tecnológica à escala mundial dirigida a estudantes universitários, que este ano decorreu em Seattle.
Portugal esteve representado na Final Mundial pela equipa de alunos da Universidade da Beira Interior e do ISCTE com o projeto Nuada, uma mão biónica desenvolvida para ajudar pessoas com limitações físicas. A equipa portuguesa recebeu vários elogios ao longo da competição, tendo integrado o grupo de finalistas na competição mundial.
A Austrália sagrou-se campeã na categoria de World Citizenship com o projecto Eyenaemia, tendo a equipa responsável pelo desenvolvimento o privilégio de conhecer pessoalmente Bill Gates.
Na categoria Innovation o primeiro lugar foi atribuído à equipa da Nova Zelândia pelo desenvolvimento do projecto Estimeet.
Já na categoria de Games o destaque foi para a Rússia, com o primeiro lugar da categoria atribuído ao projecto TurnOn.
